Sorry, but that just isn't accurate. Old drones do NOT necessarily require Remote ID modules or even Remote ID at all. Many older drones received firmware updates that enabled Remote ID making the need for an added module moot. And drones that are 0.55 pounds or less being flown recreationally under 49 USC 44809 do NOT require Remote ID at all. Of course too, the Remote ID requirement is specific to the United States. Drones in other countries, including drones owned and operated by Americans traveling to other countries, can ignore the FAA requirements when abroad.

This is an amazing analysis. Dr. Nolan analyzed metal from the Socorra, New Mexico incident in 1964.
